On November 28, 2025, Mr. Waqas Ahmad, Assistant Director/Research Officer (Linkages) from the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC), visited Rawalpindi Women University to conduct an audit of the Chief Minister’s Honhaar Undergraduate Scholarship. The visit focused on a detailed examination of the university’s scholarship documentation to confirm accuracy and proper record-keeping.
During the audit the PHEC team thoroughly reviewed all files and documents prepared by the university for the Honhaar Scholarship, ensuring transparency in the application and disbursement records. The review at RWU also included audits for three other institutions — Fatima Jinnah Women University, Arid Agriculture University and Rawalpindi Medical University — with those files examined on site to maintain consistency across the reviewed campuses.
The audit underscores Rawalpindi Women University’s commitment to supporting deserving students while upholding high standards of accountability and transparency. University officials cooperated with the PHEC delegation throughout the process, facilitating access to records and clarifications that support the integrity of the Honhaar Scholarship programme.
