Delivering Ramadan Relief Across Pakistan

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) has completed a nationwide food assistance programme as part of its 2026 Ramadan initiatives, delivering timely Ramadan relief to vulnerable families across Pakistan. The campaign reached approximately 3,700 households with food packages distributed to communities in both cities and remote districts.

The effort was coordinated with public institutions and civil society partners, including Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, the AJK Zakat Department, Ghazali Education Trust, Al Mustafa Welfare Society, Shah Jahan Mosque Community and Idara Al Khair Welfare Society. These partnerships helped ensure the Ramadan relief reached families through trusted local channels.

Food distributions covered Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Mardan, Muzaffarabad and Haveli Kahuta in the north, and extended to Lahore, Multan, Hyderabad, Thatta and various districts of Karachi, as well as Lasbela and Hub (Uthal) in Balochistan, bringing assistance to diverse communities across the country.

A distribution ceremony in Islamabad on 25 February 2026 was held in cooperation with Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal and attended by H.E. Irfan Neziroğlu, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Pakistan, and Ms. Saliha Tuna, Programme Coordinator of TIKA Islamabad. The event highlighted the operational scale of the campaign and the role of local partners.

During visits to beneficiary families, Ambassador Neziroğlu exchanged Ramadan greetings and shared warm interactions with mothers and children, underscoring TIKA’s commitment to community-level engagement. The programme reaffirmed bilateral goodwill and people-to-people ties between Türkiye and Pakistan while providing essential Ramadan relief to those in need.

By focusing on solidarity, compassion and brotherhood, the initiative aimed not only to supply immediate food assistance but also to foster hope and social cohesion during the holy month. TIKA’s continued support reflects a broader commitment to strengthen humanitarian partnerships and respond to local needs across Pakistan.
