Launching One Window System for Student Services

The Directorate of IT Services at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi has unveiled an advanced One Window System designed to centralize services for current and alumni students. The new platform brings together admissions, examinations, student records, fee management, attendance and evaluation modules under a single digital ecosystem developed by the DITS.

Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan, Chairperson Punjab Higher Education Commission, formally launched the One Window System and commended the university for its proactive adoption of automation. He praised the initiative for promoting transparency, improving service delivery and making administrative processes more accessible to thousands of students across the region.

Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman, Vice Chancellor PMAS-AAUR, said the One Window System is a core element of the university’s wider digital transformation plan. He noted that reducing manual interventions and ensuring data accuracy were central aims, and that the platform will allow students to complete tasks and track application status with greater ease.

The One Window System is supported by digital platforms and self-service kiosks that provide 24/7 access, enabling students to obtain information and manage routine processes outside office hours. This continuous access is expected to reduce queues and administrative delays while improving student satisfaction.

Dr. Nadeem Ahmad Malik, Director of the Directorate of IT Services, reiterated the department’s commitment to ongoing innovation and enhancement of university systems. He described the launch as a significant milestone toward full automation and said the DITS will continue refining the One Window System to meet evolving needs.

By integrating multiple core domains into one platform, the university aims to streamline workflows for students, faculty and staff and to strengthen its IT infrastructure. The One Window System positions PMAS-AAUR to deliver faster, more reliable services and to scale its digital capabilities in line with its strategic vision.
