FPCCI Strengthens Trade Ties with TDA Delegation
Atif Ikram Sheikh met a delegation from the Trade and Development Authority at the FPCCI regional office in Lahore in a focused FPCCI meeting to discuss measures for enhancing trade cooperation and addressing challenges faced by the business community.
The visiting delegation included Faiz Ahmad, Chief Executive, Shaharyar Taj, Secretary, and other senior TDA officials, while senior leaders of the federation were present to lend practical perspective on local trade barriers and coordination needs.
Participants examined constraints affecting exporters and domestic businesses and explored concrete ways to improve coordination between the federation and the Trade and Development Authority. The FPCCI meeting emphasized joint initiatives to streamline support for traders and to create better channels for information sharing and policy alignment.
Atif Ikram Sheikh highlighted the strategic value of overseas exhibitions and urged stronger participation by local enterprises to open new markets. The delegation and federation representatives discussed targeted efforts to secure exhibitor slots, increase visibility for Pakistani products, and provide preparatory support to small and medium exporters.
The session included a detailed exchange on future projects and follow-up actions, with contributions from vice president Zain Malik, Zaki Ijaz, and Capital Office chair Karim Aziz Malik. The FPCCI meeting concluded with commitments to implement coordinated steps aimed at boosting exports and improving the business environment in Lahore and beyond.
