Punjab EPA Launches Emissions Testing in Islamabad

The Punjab Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in collaboration with the Federal Capital Administration, has officially initiated an Emissions Testing System (ETS) in Islamabad as part of its drive to reduce environmental pollution.
Under the direction of Director General Punjab EPA Dr. Imran Hamid Sheikh, a specialized ETS squad was deployed to Islamabad for this purpose. The ETS squad successfully conducted emission testing of all vehicles belonging to the Islamabad Transport Department and Deputy Commissioner’s office. Furthermore, the squad provided comprehensive training to the transport department personnel, enabling them to effectively continue emissions testing independently.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Irfan Memon, personally participated in the initiative by having his official vehicle tested for emissions. Upon successfully passing the test, Mr. Memon demonstrated his support by personally affixing the certification sticker onto his vehicle.
Expressing his appreciation, Deputy Commissioner Irfan Memon thanked Punjab EPA’s Director General Dr. Imran Hamid Sheikh for extending technical support and guidance in implementing the advanced emissions testing initiative in Islamabad.
