Pakistan and Russia Reaffirm Commitment to Stronger Ties

Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar held a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on the sidelines of the 32nd ASEAN Regional Forum in Kuala Lumpur. Both leaders reaffirmed their mutual commitment to fortifying bilateral relations and agreed to further discussions at their scheduled meeting next week during the SCO Council of Ministers session.
During the meeting, Senator Ishaq Dar and Minister Lavrov exchanged views on enhancing cooperation between Pakistan and Russia in a variety of areas. The discussions were aimed at developing deeper ties and exploring new avenues for joint collaboration.
Taking note of the progress achieved in bilateral interactions recently, both foreign ministers emphasized the value of maintaining regular dialogue at multiple diplomatic levels. The upcoming SCO Council of Ministers meeting next week will provide another significant opportunity for in-depth discussions on bilateral cooperation and regional issues.
