PMS Officers Explore Rawalpindi Horticulture
Newly posted PMS officers (BS-17) taking part in the 8th six-week post induction training course arrived at the RDA complex for a study visit to the Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi, where they were welcomed and guided through the agency’s offices and ongoing field initiatives.
The delegation received a comprehensive briefing covering citywide development projects, restoration of green belts, parks refurbishment, large-scale plantation drives and other measures aimed at improving urban aesthetics and environmental balance. The presentation highlighted how Rawalpindi Horticulture integrates modern planning to provide healthier public spaces while maintaining ecological stability.
Fazail Mudassir, Additional Managing Director of Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi, told the visiting officers that the agency is working tirelessly to make Rawalpindi a greener, cleaner and more attractive city. He said projects are being accelerated in line with contemporary needs to enhance both the city’s appearance and recreational facilities for residents.
Nasser Wilayat Langrial, Director Admin and Finance at the agency, outlined administrative and financial arrangements, stressing efficient resource use and transparency to ensure timely completion of development works. He emphasised that sound governance and planning are central to sustainable urban improvement.
The PMS officers engaged with officials, raised detailed questions and received satisfactory responses on horticulture management and project execution. Delegates praised the agency’s professionalism and practical initiatives, calling Rawalpindi Horticulture a replicable model for other institutions aiming to upgrade urban landscapes.
At the close of the visit the participants pledged to draw on the successful practices observed and apply those lessons in their own public service roles. The Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi reaffirmed its commitment to continue organising such study visits to strengthen inter-agency coordination and give officers direct exposure to hands-on urban greening efforts.
