Arid University Runs Major Entry Test
Thousands of applicants turned out for the Entry Test held by Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) on June 14, 2026 as the university conducted its first undergraduate admission exam for Fall 2026. The strong turnout reflected growing confidence in the institution and its admissions process.
The examination took place at the university’s Main Campus in Rawalpindi and was conducted simultaneously in 14 cities to ease access for students. Test centres included Attock, Khushab, Chakwal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Burewala, Multan, Rajanpur, Bhalwal, Skardu and Gilgit, enabling many candidates to appear closer to home and avoid long-distance travel.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman reaffirmed PMAS-AAUR’s commitment to providing quality education through well-qualified faculty and modern academic facilities. He said the university is dedicated to widening access to higher education and maintaining a transparent, inclusive Entry Test process that supports merit-based admissions.
The Vice Chancellor, accompanied by the Registrar and other senior university officials, visited examination halls to review arrangements, monitor conduct and encourage candidates. On-the-spot registration was offered on the day of the test for applicants who missed the online registration deadline of June 12, ensuring no eligible candidates were excluded.
A second Entry Test for Fall 2026 admissions is scheduled for July 12, 2026 with the registration deadline on July 10. Students who registered for the first test but were unable to appear will automatically remain eligible for the second session without the need to re-register, allowing flexibility for candidates across Pakistan.
