GACA Delegation Visits Bacha Khan Airport for Security Assessment

Bacha Khan International Airport in Peshawar recently hosted a seven-member delegation from the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) of Saudi Arabia for a thorough security assessment. The visit aimed to enhance collaboration and strengthen aviation safety and security between the two countries.

The delegation, led by Air Commodore (Retired) Shahid Qadir, Director AVSEC, conducted inspections across various key areas of the airport. Their review included the departure lounges, airside facilities, the cargo complex, and the airport’s perimeter fence to evaluate operational and security standards.

During the visit, the Airport Manager extended a warm welcome to the Saudi team, and both sides exchanged shields and souvenirs as a gesture of goodwill. The visit highlights the ongoing efforts of Pakistan’s aviation authorities to foster international cooperation and improve airport security standards.
