Patrolling Police Rawalpindi Hosts Milad and Defence Events

The Punjab Highway Patrol’s Patrolling Police in Rawalpindi Region held ceremonies to mark Eid Milad-un-Nabi and Defence Day, featuring Quran recitation, naats, flag-salute ceremonies and community engagement activities aimed at strengthening police-public relations.

Under the direction of Regional Officer Muhammad Irfan Butt, patrolling posts across the region organized Quran recitations and naats, and observed flag-salute ceremonies as part of the dual commemorations. The events combined religious observance with patriotic rituals to honor both the Prophet’s birth and the nation’s defenders.

A special program was held at Patrolling Post 22 Mile, where Regional Officer Muhammad Irfan Butt attended as the chief guest. Local notables and members of reconciliation committees were invited to participate. The program opened with the recitation of the Quran, followed by naats and collective prayers for the nation’s safety.

Officials conducted a flag hoisting and salute in recognition of Defence Day. Regional Officer Butt delivered remarks on the life of the Prophet (Seerat-un-Nabi) and the significance of Defence Day. The formal proceedings concluded with a ceremonial cake cutting attended by the regional officer, invited guests, and post staff, after which the regional officer expressed gratitude to the attendees.

Invited guests praised the ceremony and its arrangements, describing the initiative as a welcome step toward improving police-community relations. The statement was issued by the Public Relations Department spokesperson.
