Defence Day Commemoration at GACW F-Block Rawalpindi

Government Associate College for Women in F-Block Rawalpindi held a solemn ceremony to mark Defence Day, honoring the courage and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces and the nation during the 1965 war. The event featured religious recitation, patriotic performances, and a documentary, and campus leaders urged students to renew their commitment to national service and progress.

The programme opened with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a Naat in praise of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Students performed national songs that expressed solidarity with the armed forces and a deep love for the country. Organizers also screened a documentary detailing the heroism and sacrifices of the Pakistan Army in the 1965 conflict.

College Principal Ghazala Yasmeen addressed the gathering, stressing that Defence Day is a reminder of the unparalleled sacrifices made by the armed forces. She said the observance symbolizes a renewed pledge to support the defence and advancement of Pakistan, and she encouraged students to combine patriotic commitment with their academic pursuits.

The ceremony concluded on a note of unity and inspiration, with participants leaving encouraged to uphold national values and contribute positively to the country’s future.
