Advancing AI Training Across Balochistan

Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training Wajiha Qamar visited the INOVISTA DHA Quetta Center and several NAVTTC-affiliated institutions offering specialised courses in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and modern vocational training. During the visits she met students, observed practical sessions and acknowledged the growing technical confidence among trainees.

Ms. Qamar praised the institutions for delivering industry-relevant education that prepares youth for the job market, noting that AI training and cybersecurity programmes are equipping young Pakistanis with skills in high demand. She highlighted that, under the vision of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, over 53,000 young men and women across Balochistan are being trained in cutting-edge technologies, a major step towards digital empowerment and inclusive development.

The minister said the government is expanding similar centres across the province to create employment opportunities, foster innovation and enable Balochistan’s youth to take leading roles in the country’s digital transformation. She reaffirmed that quality education and practical skills are fundamental to building a strong, self-reliant Pakistan and stressed continued support for programmes that scale AI training and technical vocational education in the region.
