Driving Collaboration at PKNC Reception Dinner
The Pak-Korea Nutrition Center (PKNC) at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad hosted an elegant reception dinner during the International Conference on Nutrition in a Changing World: Advancing Science in Food and Nutrition. The PKNC Reception brought together university leadership, project partners and international delegates to celebrate shared commitments to food and nutrition research.
The evening was attended by leading figures including Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali, Vice Chancellor UAF, Mr. Je Ho Yeon, Country Director KOICA Pakistan, Prof. Dr. Jaehan Kim, Prof. Dr. Imran Pasha, Prof. Dr. M. Issa Khan, Prof. Dr. Atif Randhawa, Prof. Dr. Beenish Israr, Prof. Dr. Asif Kamran, Mr. Rana Asif, Dr. Allah Rakha, Dr. Mian Kamran Sharif, Dr. Kashif Iqbal Khan and Prof. Dr. Moazzam Rafiq Khan, alongside key international delegates and research partners.
International and national experts including Ae Rang Lee, Younggeun Lee, Danbee Yim, Dr. Sadaf Shakoor, Dr. Sadia Ilyas, Prof. Dr. Uzma, Dr. Aslam Asif, Dr. Sarfraz, Ms. Munazzah, Dr. Safina, Dr. Shazia Zahra, Dr. Rao Zahid, Dr. Kun Cho, Dr. Myungin Ho, Y.P. The PKNC Reception highlighted concrete steps to strengthen Pakistan’s food and nutrition landscape through Pakistan–Korea cooperation, with partners emphasizing collaborative research, capacity building and applied innovations in food processing and value addition. Conversations during the dinner underscored the central role of academic partnerships in translating science into programs that benefit communities across Pakistan.
The event received on-the-ground coverage led by Dr. Benash Sarwar with team members Mr. Basit Naeem, Ms. Muqaddas, Ms. Aiza Naeem and Ms. Midah Rana, while institutional communications were supported by Me. Hamid. Together, participants reaffirmed their commitment to advancing nutrition research, policy advocacy and product development as part of a sustained Pakistan-Korea partnership.
