Boosting Pakistan Algeria Trade Through TDAP Talks

On 04 November 2025 H.E. Dr. Brahim Romani, Ambassador of Algeria to Pakistan, visited the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) headquarters in Karachi and held talks with Mr. Faiz Ahmad, Chief Executive TDAP, and Mr. Sheryar Taj, Secretary TDAP. The meeting focused on practical steps to deepen commercial engagement between Pakistan and Algeria and to accelerate Pakistan Algeria Trade.

Delegates discussed the possibility of sending sectoral business delegations and organising country-specific trade events to create direct linkages between Pakistani exporters and Algerian buyers. Participants stressed that targeted trade missions and bespoke events can open new channels for exporters and investors and strengthen Pakistan Algeria Trade ties in the near term.

Both sides emphasised the need to reinforce the Pakistan-Algeria Business Council, established in December 2022 between the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACI), as a platform to coordinate follow-up actions. Discussions highlighted cooperation potential in agriculture, the textile industry, energy and mineral sectors where complementarities can be converted into tangible projects and trade flows.

Representatives from TDAP and the Algerian mission reaffirmed their commitment to remain closely connected and to support each other’s initiatives to promote bilateral trade and economic cooperation, with follow-up meetings and coordinated delegation plans envisioned to sustain momentum.
