Mobilising Youth for Benazir Bhutto’s Vision
Chaudhry Nadeem Qaiser, Vice President of Bhuttoism International UK, paid rich tribute to Benazir Bhutto while addressing a ceremony at the Rawalpindi Press Club on the 18th death anniversary of the former prime minister. He said she upheld freedom of opinion as the true strength of democracy and took many steps to reinforce Pakistan’s parliamentary system and international standing.
Speaking at the event organised by the Bhuttoism International WhatsApp Group Core Committee, Chaudhry Nadeem Qaiser recalled Benazir Bhutto’s vision of a Pakistan governed by equal rule of law, strong institutions and universal access to basic services. He described her life as a symbol of struggle and public service and urged party workers to carry forward her political philosophy.
Speakers at the gathering, including PPP Women Wing District General Secretary Saadia Abbasi and several local leaders, reiterated their commitment to promote Benazir Bhutto’s ideals, emphasizing unity, organisation and sustained political mobilisation. They said her insistence on public politics and defence of the rights of the poor and middle class remain highly relevant to Pakistan’s current needs.
Chaudhry Nadeem Qaiser outlined the objective of the Bhuttoism International WhatsApp Group as removing discrimination among workers and ensuring equal treatment for all party members, a step he said would curb the influence of a few privileged individuals within corridors of power. He also voiced strong support for Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as the future prime minister and called on youth to mobilise behind his vision.
Speakers expressed confidence in the party leadership’s strategy, praising President Asif Ali Zardari’s decisions as timely and in the national interest. They stressed the importance of strengthening party organisations and mutual respect between leadership and workers as essential to political success. The ceremony concluded with renewed loyalty from party workers and prayers for Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and other martyrs.
