Advancing Community-led Peacebuilding

Government and civil society partners from across Pakistan are travelling to Bangkok and Indonesia with support from the European Union in Pakistan and the German Embassy Islamabad to strengthen the rule of law through Community-led Peacebuilding. The delegation includes policymakers, justice practitioners and grassroots peacebuilders who aim to translate shared learning into concrete action back home.

The mission centres on women’s leadership and participation, ensuring that approaches to peace and justice reflect the needs of communities across Pakistan. By emphasising inclusive strategies, participants hope to improve access to justice and foster locally led solutions that sustain long-term stability.

UN Women learning missions are framed as investments in people and systems that help turn global commitments into local impact. Delegates will exchange practices, assess community-based mechanisms, and adapt models that strengthen accountability and social cohesion in Pakistani contexts.

As lessons travel home, the delegation expects to bring new tools and partnerships to local actors working on peace, justice and gender equality. The collaboration with the EU and the German Embassy underscores international support for Community-led Peacebuilding and for elevating women’s roles in shaping safer, more equitable communities.
