An important memorandum of understanding has been signed between the Sialkot business community and Cancer Care Hospital Lahore to bring modern breast cancer diagnostic and treatment services to women in Sialkot. The agreement aims to ensure timely access to care close to home and reduce the need for travel to larger cities.
The MoU was signed on behalf of Friends of Sialkot by prominent businessmen Khawar Anwar Khawaja and Fazal Jillani, with representatives from Cancer Care Hospital Lahore present to formalise the partnership. Local civic and social representatives joined the ceremony and welcomed the collaboration.
The focus of the initiative is to deliver advanced medical facilities within Sialkot so women can receive early diagnosis and treatment without leaving the city. Breast Cancer Care is central to the agreement, addressing the rising incidence of the disease and the critical need for prompt intervention to improve outcomes.
Under the terms of the MoU, Cancer Care Hospital Lahore will provide diagnostic services, specialist consultations and treatment for breast cancer patients in Sialkot through its experienced medical team, modern treatment methods and updated technology. The partnership also includes awareness campaigns to educate women about early symptoms and preventive measures.
Representatives of Friends of Sialkot emphasised that the business community has a long record of supporting welfare projects, and this partnership continues that commitment. They pledged ongoing support for health, education and social welfare projects that benefit the local population.
The management of Cancer Care Hospital Lahore welcomed the collaboration, saying the initiative will improve access to quality care, help save lives and ease the burden on patients and families in Sialkot and neighbouring areas. Civic circles described the agreement as a significant milestone for regional healthcare and hoped it would lead to better outcomes for women across the district.
