Zeina Zein Clinches K2 Squash Challenger Title
Top seed Zeina Zein delivered a composed and powerful performance to win the K2 Squash PSA Women’s Challenger 6K Championship in Lahore. Her victory over third seed Lucie Stefanoni capped a week of high-quality international squash at K2 Squash Club.
Zeina Zein controlled the final from the start, sealing the match 11–9, 11–7, 8–11, 11–3 in 34 minutes. Her tactical precision and calm under pressure were decisive in closing out the four-game encounter.
The title earned Zeina Zein a winner’s purse of $1,140 while runner-up Lucie Stefanoni collected $720 for a strong run through the draw. The result highlights Zein’s growing presence on the PSA circuit and adds an international trophy to her record.
The K2 Squash PSA Women’s Challenger 6K Championship 2026, presented by One World Squash, was the club’s first women’s international event and its second international tournament overall. Staged in Lahore, the championship attracted international competitors and showcased the venue’s ability to host professional-level squash.
The closing ceremony featured Mr. Karamat Ullah Khan, Founder of One World Squash, and Tournament Director Muhammad Naveed Alam, who handed trophies to the champion and runner-up. Mr. Karamat Ullah Khan said, “Our aim is to promote squash in the United States. I would like to thank all sponsors, US Squash, PSA, the PSA media team, and all participating players for their support,” and added that the organisers hope to return next year with increased prize money.
Tournament Director Muhammad Naveed Alam expressed pride in delivering the club’s first women’s international championship, noting the high level of competition and thanking everyone involved. The successful staging of this event strengthens efforts to develop international squash ties and lays the groundwork for even larger events in the future.
