Strengthening Ties Through China Window Peshawar

The Director General (China) of Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Muhammad Tariq Wazir, visited China Window in Peshawar to review the centre’s work in promoting cultural and educational links between Pakistan and China. He toured galleries that highlight Chinese history, culture, technological advances, tourism and educational opportunities, and he recorded his impressions in the Visitors’ Book after signing the Friendship Wall.

During the visit Mr Wazir expressed appreciation for the effort invested in presenting China’s civilisation and modern achievements to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He showed keen interest in the centre’s exhibits and programming and commended the management and volunteers for making China Window an accessible platform for learning and exchange.

He said he was pleased to see an institution in Peshawar that directly supports cultural diplomacy and people-to-people contact, noting that China Window has already done much to deepen Pakistan-China ties. “I would like to commend the organizers and everyone associated with this remarkable initiative,” he said, adding that the centre’s role is likely to grow in the years ahead.

Mr Wazir urged expansion of China Window’s activities so more citizens can benefit from language programs, seminars and exhibitions. He affirmed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ support for collaborative initiatives that bring the two peoples closer, stressing that cultural exchanges remain the cornerstone of Pakistan-China relations.

The visit ended with an interactive session in which the Director General thanked China Window’s administration, staff and volunteers for their dedication. The centre continues to host diplomats, academics, students, media and civil society groups, contributing to stronger Pakistan-China engagement across cultural, educational and technological fields.
