Kazakhstan and COMSATS Explore New Partnership Opportunities in Science and Technology
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, Mr. Y. Kistafin, and Dr. Mohammad Nafees Zakaria, Executive Director of the Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS), recently held talks aimed at deepening collaboration in science and technology between Kazakhstan and the organization.
During the meeting, both sides discussed a range of promising areas for cooperation and outlined plans to further expand their engagement. Dr. Zakaria offered COMSATS’ support in providing training sessions, educational seminars across various specialties, and access to cutting-edge laboratories, including those focused on nanotechnology. He also highlighted opportunities for showcasing the organization’s developed IT solutions to Kazakh partners.
Recognizing Kazakhstan’s significant accomplishments in scientific research, Dr. Zakaria proposed hosting one of COMSATS’ key events in Kazakhstan, aiming to boost regional scientific exchange and visibility.
Ambassador Kistafin welcomed these initiatives, commended Dr. Zakaria’s efforts to invigorate COMSATS’ activities, and underscored the crucial role of strengthening partnerships among member countries in science and technology. He also briefed on the Embassy’s ongoing initiatives and reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to advancing bilateral and multilateral scientific cooperation.
The meeting concluded with consensus on enhancing interaction between the Kazakh Embassy and COMSATS, with the goal of promoting mutually beneficial projects and fostering closer ties between scientific institutions and researchers in member states.
