**EPA Punjab Celebrates Major Milestone with 200,000 Cars Tested Through Emissions Testing System**

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Punjab has reached a significant milestone by testing emissions for 200,000 vehicles under its Emissions Testing System, highlighting a major step forward in the province’s efforts for cleaner air. The achievement was marked with a celebratory cake-cutting ceremony attended by senior EPA officials.

The event was graced by the Secretary of the Environment Protection & Climate Change Department (EP&CCD), Ms. Silwat Saeed, and the Director General of EPA, Dr. Imran Hamid Sheikh. Also in attendance were Additional Secretary (Technical), Ms. Shumaila Manzoor, Additional Secretary (Admin), Mr. Imran Akram Chauhan, and Project Director SP&IU, Mr. Tariq Hussain Bhatti.

The Emissions Testing System represents one of EPA Punjab’s key initiatives in combatting air pollution and promoting environmentally responsible vehicle use. Through the testing of 200,000 cars, the program demonstrates the agency’s commitment to achieving a cleaner and greener Punjab, significantly contributing to public health and environmental sustainability in the region.
