Strengthening Climate Justice Partnerships in Sindh

**Sindh Civil Society and State Institutions Join Hands to Advance Climate Justice and Public Accountability**
The National Humanitarian Network (NHN) Sindh, with support from the Community Development Foundation (CDF), has taken a significant step toward improving climate justice and public service delivery in the province. Facilitated by CDF as Chairperson of NHN Sindh, members from across the region participated in a pivotal event organized by the Provincial Ombudsman Office Sindh, aiming to foster stronger partnerships between state institutions and civil society organizations.
The event centered on broadening the engagement of the Ombudsman Office in handling public complaints more effectively. A key highlight of the gathering was the introduction of the office’s newly established Climate Justice Unit—a dedicated initiative designed to respond to the increasing environmental challenges facing Sindh. This unit is set to play an important role in ensuring climate-responsive justice, promoting accountability, and supporting inclusive governance.
Organizers expressed gratitude to all participants and partnering organizations for supporting the ongoing dialogue between government bodies and civil society. The collaboration is seen as vital for enhancing transparency, strengthening oversight of public service delivery, and addressing urgent climate concerns in Sindh.
The initiative reflects a growing commitment from both sides to create more responsive, equitable, and environmentally conscious governance structures in the province.
