Talent Beyond Boundaries Empowers Afghan Refugees in Islamabad

**SHARP Holds Successful Community Outreach Sessions in Islamabad, Engaging Afghan Refugees in Talent Beyond Boundaries Program**
SHARP, under the Talent Beyond Boundaries (TBB) program, has conducted two successful community outreach sessions in Islamabad, reaching a total of 83 Afghan refugees—41 men and 42 women. These sessions aimed to increase awareness about international employment opportunities available to skilled refugees, supporting their ability to rebuild their lives with dignity.
The outreach sessions were specifically organized to inform participants about the TBB program, an initiative designed to connect refugees possessing valuable skills with employers in other countries. The goal is to offer pathways to stable livelihoods and self-sufficiency for refugees, many of whom face significant barriers to employment in their host countries. The session for female participants was led by Ms. Rukhsana Jafar, Senior Livelihood Assistant, while the male session was facilitated by Mr. Nadeem Ahmad, Livelihood Assistant.
A highlight of the women’s session was when one participant displayed her crochet work, drawing warm appreciation from others in attendance. The moment underscored both the creativity and resilience of the refugee community, as well as the supportive environment that SHARP strives to foster through its work.
SHARP’s efforts reflect an ongoing commitment to supporting refugee rights and promoting human dignity, in line with broader initiatives in collaboration with international organizations. The successful outreach sessions demonstrate the positive impact that educational and empowerment programs can have within vulnerable communities.
