Monsoon Plantation Drive Supports Climate Resilience in Ghallanai

Volunteers from the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Mohmand branch have launched a Monsoon Plantation Drive aimed at bolstering climate resilience in the region. This effort is part of the broader Youth Engagement Promoting SDGs project, undertaken by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the Italian Red Cross.
The first phase of the drive began at the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Ghallanai, where the Medical Superintendent led the initiative by planting fruit trees within the hospital premises. The ceremonial event drew active participation from PRCS volunteers, officials from the District Forest Office, and members of Civil Defence. This collaborative effort underscores a community-wide commitment to creating a greener and healthier environment.
