PEIRA and ANF Join Forces for Drug-Free Schools in ICT

The Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) has partnered with the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) North Region to intensify efforts against drug use in private schools across the Islamabad Capital Territory. The collaboration aims to create safer educational environments by focusing on prevention, awareness, and capacity building.
Lt Col Raheel Hussain, Deputy Regional Directorate Commander of ANF North, was welcomed by PEIRA officials for a detailed conversation on effective preventive strategies and the implementation of awareness initiatives within schools. The two organizations discussed practical measures to educate students and staff about the risks of drug use and to strengthen institutional responses.
Dr. Sayeda Zia Batool, Chairperson of PEIRA, emphasized the authority’s dedication to keeping schools drug-free. She highlighted the importance of strategic partnerships, awareness campaigns, and training programs as essential tools in empowering educators and students to resist the dangers of drugs. The joint initiative is focused on long-term youth protection, supporting a safe and healthy learning environment for all students in the region.
