Federal Heads Honored at Farewell Ceremony in Islamabad

A farewell ceremony was held in Islamabad to honor the dedicated service of the heads and principals of federal government educational institutions. Organized by the Federal Government Heads Association, the event brought together key figures from the education sector and government to acknowledge the contributions of these educational leaders.
Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Tariq Fazal Choudhary, attended the ceremony as the chief guest. Ms. Wajiha Qamar, Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, was present as guest of honour. In her address, Ms. Qamar expressed pride in her background as the daughter of a school teacher and assured the audience of her commitment to voicing and resolving the issues faced by the teaching community. She emphasized her dedication to prioritizing their concerns within the Ministry.
Dr. Choudhary recognized the challenges faced by the teaching staff, particularly regarding salary disparities and tax rebate issues. He assured attendees that the government would take steps to address these matters.
Members of the National Assembly Anjum Aqeel Khan and Raja Khurram Nawaz also attended, commending the valuable services provided by teachers. Raja Khurram Nawaz pledged to advocate for teachers’ interests in the Standing Committee on Education.
The event concluded with expressions of gratitude and renewed commitments from all participants to work together in advancing the cause of education in the federal capital.
