Pakistan Health Expo Highlights Pharma Industry Success

**Federal Minister Acknowledges Pakistan’s Pharmaceutical Industry at RCCI Health Expo**

Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, praised the capabilities of Pakistan’s pharmaceutical sector during his visit to the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Health Expo and Summit, held at the Pak-China Friendship Center in Islamabad. The event brought together industry leaders, government officials, and foreign diplomats to showcase the progress and challenges of the country’s health and pharmaceutical industries.

During his tour of the expo, Minister Khichi visited various stalls and commended the quality of pharmaceutical and medical products on display. He lauded RCCI’s significant role in promoting trade activities, particularly in the health and pharmaceutical sectors, and was warmly welcomed by RCCI President Usman Shaukat, Senior Vice President Khalid Farooq Qazi, Vice President Fahad Barlas, and other executive members.

Speaking to the media, Minister Khichi congratulated RCCI on organizing a successful exhibition and highlighted the growing international recognition of Pakistani companies. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to advancing the pharmaceutical industry to meet global standards, stating, “In the coming years, Pakistan’s industry will lead on the international stage, and the public will greatly benefit from government initiatives.”

The two-day Health Expo attracted a wide range of participants, including government representatives, foreign diplomats, and industry professionals. The event aimed to assess Pakistan’s export potential in healthcare and pharmaceuticals, as well as to address the key challenges facing the sector.

RCCI President Usman Shaukat, in his address, emphasized Pakistan’s expertise in pharmaceutical manufacturing and the availability of a skilled workforce. He noted that Pakistan produces high-quality, affordable medicines that are attractive in the global marketplace. However, he also pointed out that regulatory hurdles, limited research and development, and intense international competition remain major challenges for the industry.

The RCCI Health Expo served as a significant platform for dialogue and collaboration, highlighting both the strengths and obstacles facing Pakistan’s pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors as they strive for greater global integration.
