IATF2025 Algeria Opens Doors to African Trade Opportunities

Algeria will host the fourth edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF2025) in Algiers, offering Pakistan and other global partners a prime opportunity to expand economic ties and explore potential trade and investment collaborations with African nations. Expected to attract over 2,000 exhibitors from 140 countries, the fair anticipates securing trade and investment agreements valued at over USD 44 billion.

Organized by Algeria in partnership with the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), the Advisory Council on the Intra-African Trade Fair, the Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area, and the African Union, the event will be held at Palais des Expositions du Pins Maritimes in Algiers. The gathering aims to boost trade within Africa and facilitate connections between African businesses and international investors, buyers, and suppliers. Under the theme of “Gateway to New Opportunities,” the exhibition seeks to position Algeria and Africa at large as attractive destinations for global economic partners.

The 2025 fair highlights critical sectors including agriculture, industry, energy, finance, health, research and innovation, transportation, and startups. Participants will benefit from direct access to a market exceeding 1.4 billion people, with a combined Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of more than USD 3.5 trillion. The event is strategically designed for businesses seeking market expansion and partnerships across a diverse and rapidly developing continent.

Recognizing the importance of enhanced economic engagement with Africa, Pakistan launched initiatives such as “Look Africa” in 2017 and “Engaging Africa” in 2019, underscoring its commitment to deepening trade and economic linkages with African states. Algeria, the third-largest economy on the continent and possessing the largest land area in Africa, serves as a strategic gateway linking Africa with Europe and Asia, making it well-positioned to support Pakistani economic ambitions in the region.

In this spirit, Algerian authorities extend an open invitation to Pakistani government bodies, institutions, and economic operators to actively participate in IATF2025. The event represents a prime occasion for Pakistan and other partners to showcase their capabilities, establish robust networks, and secure significant trade and investment deals with African countries.
