Driving Green Productivity in Lahore
The Asian Productivity Organization, Pakistan’s National Productivity Organization, the Ministry of Industries and Production and the LUMS Energy Institute convened the Conference on Green Productivity 2.0 in Lahore on 28–29 November. The two-day event drew 114 participants from government entities, academic institutions and industry who examined practical options to boost Green Productivity across sectors.
Speakers and delegates exchanged perspectives on improving resource efficiency, reducing environmental impact and enhancing competitiveness through targeted productivity measures. The gathering highlighted opportunities for joint initiatives between universities, regulators and private firms, with the LUMS Energy Institute contributing technical insights to inform policy and practice.
Organisers said the conference aimed to catalyse follow-up projects and partnerships that embed Green Productivity principles into Pakistan’s industrial strategies. Attendees left with a clearer sense of collaborative steps to scale sustainable productivity improvements at both firm and policy levels.
