Enhancing Education and Skills Development in Pakistan with GIZ

Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, Ms. Farah Naz Akbar, held a constructive discussion with GIZ Advisor Ms. Sobiah Becker to enhance mutual collaboration in education and skills development. Both parties emphasized their shared commitment towards improving inclusive, equitable, and quality education in Pakistan, highlighting sustainable reforms and robust capacity-building efforts.
During the meeting, Ms. Akbar underscored the importance of strengthening educational infrastructure and systems across Pakistan. She outlined the government’s strategic priorities, expressing keen interest in partnering with international organizations to drive meaningful education reform.
Ms. Becker, representing GIZ, reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to supporting Pakistan’s educational goals. She noted GIZ’s readiness to extend technical assistance, expertise, and resources to promote sustainable educational practices and foster comprehensive skills development initiatives throughout the country.
The two representatives agreed upon the necessity for ongoing dialogue and practical cooperation to successfully implement inclusive educational policies. They stressed the importance of capacity building for educators, effective curriculum enhancement, and developing frameworks aimed at bridging the skills gap in line with evolving economic needs.
The meeting concluded with both parties agreeing to further strengthen coordination mechanisms and explore additional avenues of partnership, aiming at tangible improvements within Pakistan’s education and training sectors.
