Commemorating Turkey Democracy and National Solidarity Day

**Turkey Marks Democracy and National Unity Day, Honoring Martyrs and Reaffirming Bilateral Ties with Pakistan**
The Turkish Embassy observed Democracy and National Unity Day by paying tribute to fallen martyrs and celebrating the resilience of the Turkish nation. The occasion served as a reaffirmation of Turkey’s unwavering commitment to democracy and national unity, while also highlighting strong diplomatic ties with Pakistan.
The commemorative event at the embassy was attended by prominent Pakistani officials, including Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan and Ambassador Syed Ali Asad Gillani, Additional Secretary at Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Their presence and thoughtful remarks added significance to the proceedings, reflecting the close camaraderie between the two countries.
As part of the day’s activities, a tree plantation ceremony was held at Fatima Jinnah Park with the collaboration of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA). Naeem Akbar Raja, Federal Secretary at Pakistan’s Ministry of Law and Justice, participated in the initiative, emphasizing the shared commitment to environmental stewardship and partnership.
The Turkish government expressed deep gratitude to the people and government of Pakistan for standing in solidarity against the coup attempt that threatened Turkey’s democracy. The embassy underscored the enduring spirit of victory and brotherhood between Turkey and Pakistan, reinforcing the ongoing collaboration and mutual respect that characterize the relationship between the two nations.
