Pakistan Agricultural Professionals Advance Skills in China

Ambassador Khalil Hashmi attended the closing ceremony for the inaugural group of Pakistani agricultural professionals who completed specialized training in China as part of the Prime Minister’s Initiative for Capacity Building of 1,000 Agricultural Professionals. The program took place in the Yangling Hi-Tech Industries Agricultural Demonstration Zone and aimed to enhance expertise in critical agricultural fields for Pakistan.
The first cohort, consisting of approximately 300 professionals, was enrolled at two universities in China. Participants received comprehensive training in key priority areas for Pakistan’s agricultural development, including smart irrigation, post-harvest loss prevention, animal breeding, and water conservation.
The initiative reflects Pakistan’s commitment to modernizing and strengthening its agricultural sector by leveraging international partnerships and advanced technologies. Ambassador Hashmi’s presence at the ceremony underscored the significance Pakistan attaches to this collaborative effort with China, which is expected to improve local agricultural practices and contribute to food security and sustainable development.
