**Government and Business Leaders Reach Consensus on Key Demands in Finance Ministry Meeting**
In a significant step towards fostering greater cooperation between the government and the private sector, representatives from all Chambers of Commerce and Industry reached consensus with government officials on crucial demands put forth by the business community during a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Finance. The collaborative session demonstrated renewed commitment to addressing the needs of industry stakeholders and strengthening engagement with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
The meeting was chaired by Haroon Akhtar Khan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production, and co-chaired by Bilal Azhar Kayani, Minister of State for Finance. Also present were the Chairman of the FBR, Mr. Rashid Mahmood Langrial, the Prime Minister’s Coordinator, Mr. Rana Ehsan Afzal, and FBR member Operations, Mr. Hamid Ateef. All key stakeholders from both the government and business sectors participated in the extensive discussions.
Central to the meeting was a review of the charter of demands submitted by the business community. Officials discussed each point in detail, ultimately formulating proposals that reflected a broad consensus. Haroon Akhtar Khan announced that these consensus-based proposals will be submitted to the Prime Minister for final approval, highlighting the government’s proactive approach to industry concerns.
