Islamabad Launches Online Police Station and 1Info App

Islamabad’s Chief Commissioner, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, attended the inauguration of the city’s new online Women Police Station and the “1Info” mobile application at the Safe City Headquarters. The new initiatives aim to leverage technology for greater public safety and accessibility, particularly for women and citizens in emergency situations.

At the ceremony, Chief Commissioner Randhawa praised Inspector General of Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, and the police team for their efforts to modernize policing in Islamabad. He reviewed the city’s security through a digital wall at the headquarters, which features real-time surveillance.

The newly launched 1Info mobile app allows citizens to submit emergency complaints directly to the police, streamlining the process for reporting incidents. In addition, a dedicated 1815 helpline has been introduced for women, providing them with direct access to police support services.

Inspector General Rizvi highlighted that over 9,000 cameras are actively monitoring Islamabad as part of the Safe City project. He emphasized that this extensive surveillance network has contributed significantly to the prevention and reduction of crime in the capital. The integration of technological solutions like the new app and helpline reflects the city’s commitment to ensuring a safer environment for all residents.
