**Children Explore Creativity Through Performing Arts and Storytelling at PITB Summer Camp**
Children attending the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Summer Camp participated in a dynamic range of activities designed to spark imagination and promote learning, as the program entered its second day. Organized by PITB’s Human Resources wing as part of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the camp provides children aged 5 to 13 with a creative, activity-based educational experience.
The day’s agenda included a variety of interactive workshops centered on performing arts, digital storytelling, and theater. Young participants began with a “Bedtime Story Concept” session, delving into classic fairytales and Aesop’s fables. This workshop encouraged children to explore the art of traditional storytelling through imaginative approaches, fostering both creativity and communication skills.
A highlight of the program was the “Digital Storytelling” workshop, where children learned to merge narrative techniques with modern technology. This session aimed to enhance 21st-century communication skills, allowing participants to experiment with new creative formats and digital tools.
The camp also offered an engaging “Theatre and Music” session, where children discovered the basics of performance, expression, and rhythm. Through interactive play and group exercises, participants built confidence and practiced teamwork in a supportive environment.
In addition to the creative workshops, participants enjoyed a “Reading Hour” featuring activity-based books, which promoted literacy and encouraged a love of reading. The day concluded with a relaxing “Movie Time,” offering the children a chance to unwind together while reflecting on their experiences.
The PITB Summer Camp continues to serve as a model for CSR-driven youth engagement, seamlessly combining learning with play. Through hands-on activities and a focus on creative expression, the camp provides a nurturing environment where children can develop personal and social skills while discovering new interests.
