Islamabad CDA Focuses on Accelerating Development Projects

**CDA Chairman Orders Acceleration of Development Projects in Islamabad**
The Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, has directed officials to expedite the pace of ongoing development projects across Islamabad, with a focus on infrastructure upgrades and improved public facilities. He called for enhanced transparency, adherence to quality standards, and strict observance of project timelines to ensure the capital’s transformation into a model city.
At a high-level meeting held at CDA Headquarters, attended by CDA board members, relevant Director Generals, and senior officers, Chairman Randhawa led a detailed review of the organization’s overall performance and the status of current projects. He underscored the importance of mobilizing all necessary resources to advance road construction, sewage and drainage improvements, and the modernization of public amenities within various sectors and along major city roads.
Emphasizing a citizen-centric approach, the chairman reiterated that all development initiatives must meet the highest standards of quality and transparency, ensuring no compromises on public welfare. He instructed officials to further strengthen project monitoring mechanisms and maintain regular reviews to promptly address challenges and keep developments on schedule.
Chairman Randhawa also highlighted key urban projects, including the swift operationalization of the Parking Plaza in Blue Area, the renovation of Melody Food Street, and the expedited establishment of a food court in Blue Area. He stressed the need for collaborative efforts between all CDA departments to achieve effective results.
Reaffirming the CDA’s commitment to efficient urban planning and infrastructure development, Chairman Randhawa stated that citizen welfare will remain a top priority as Islamabad progresses towards becoming a benchmark for modern city management.
