Pakistan and Armenia Establish Diplomatic Relations

Pakistan and Armenia have formally established diplomatic relations, marking a significant step in the development of ties between the two nations. Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan exchanged a joint communiqué to cement the new relationship.

During their meeting, both leaders affirmed their commitment to the principles and objectives outlined in the United Nations Charter. They discussed potential areas of cooperation, including the economy, education, culture, and tourism, indicating the broad scope of their future bilateral engagement.

The two foreign ministers also expressed a mutual desire to work closely at both bilateral and multilateral forums. They emphasized their shared objectives of promoting peace, progress, and prosperity for the citizens of both countries. This new diplomatic opening is expected to create avenues for greater collaboration and understanding between Pakistan and Armenia.
