EP&CCD Climate Internship Program 2025-26 Overview and Opportunities

The Environmental Protection and Climate Change Department (EP&CCD) is preparing to launch the Climate Internship Program for 2025-26, aiming to involve young people in climate action and equip them with practical skills and knowledge. Secretary EP&CCD, Ms. Silwat Saeed, convened a meeting to review the program’s structure, its various phases, and the criteria for selecting interns.

During the meeting, officials provided an overview of the upcoming internship, detailing the planned stages and the selection process to ensure the participation of enthusiastic and capable candidates. Ms. Saeed emphasized the importance of engaging youth in meaningful climate initiatives, highlighting the role of such programs in building a knowledgeable and skilled generation capable of addressing the challenges posed by climate change.

She reiterated the department’s commitment to empowering young people with hands-on experience and expertise, ensuring they are well-prepared to contribute effectively to environmental protection efforts. The Climate Internship Program is expected to serve as a practical platform for youth to gain a deeper understanding of climate issues and actively participate in solutions.
