Condolences have been extended to Senate Chairman Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on the passing of his cousin and former federal minister, Syed Tanveerul Hassan Gilani. A large number of people from various walks of life, including members of parliament, senators, national assembly members, and officers and staff of both houses, gathered at Parliament House to express their sympathies and honor the late politician’s contributions to the nation.
Attendees offered prayers for the departed soul and praised Syed Tanveerul Hassan Gilani’s service to the country. A special recitation of the Quran and prayers for forgiveness were held in the Parliament House mosque, with a significant turnout of senators, assembly members, officials, and staff who prayed for the elevation of the late minister’s spiritual rank and patience for his bereaved family.
During discussions with Chairman Gilani, several delegations assured him of their support during this difficult time and prayed for strength for the family. They honored Syed Tanveerul Hassan Gilani’s legacy and expressed hope that he is granted a high place in paradise.
The Senate Secretariat and members of parliament also expressed deep sorrow over the loss, recalling their longstanding association with the late leader and paying tribute to his memory and services.
