UN and NDMA Partner for Flood Response in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

United Nations Resident Coordinator Mohamed Yahya has held a meeting with the Chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik, to evaluate the ongoing flood emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The discussion focused on the current situation and efforts to manage the crisis in the region.
During the meeting, the United Nations reaffirmed its commitment to working alongside the NDMA to address the impact of the floods. The UN, through its Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Pakistan, pledged continued support to help facilitate relief efforts and prioritize aid delivery to affected communities.
Both officials emphasized the importance of coordinated action to ensure that assistance reaches those most in need, highlighting ongoing challenges and the critical role of international cooperation in disaster response.
