The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has finalized the results of the 2025 National Seerat Books, Na’at, and Essay Competition. Outstanding contributors in the field of Seerat writing will be honored with awards during the International Seerat-un-Nabi Conference to be held on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal.

An apex committee comprising education experts and Islamic scholars, led by Professor Dr. Sahibzada Sajid Rehman, reviewed the competition’s entries at a recent meeting at the ministry. Other committee members included Dr. Riaz Majid, Dr. Yusuf Farooqi, Dr. Muhammad Sajjad, Dr. Ikram-ul-Haq Yaseen, Dr. Mohyuddin Hashmi, Dr. Muhammad Ilyas, Dr. Ferozuddin Shah, and Dr. Munazza Batool.

During the competition, the committee received 142 books in various languages, including Urdu, regional, and foreign languages, covering Seerat and Na’at genres. Additionally, the essay segment attracted 107 submissions from male and female participants on the theme: “The State’s Responsibilities in Promoting the Beneficial Use of Social Media for Education and Training in Light of the Seerat-un-Nabi.”

The initial scores and recommendations from the judges’ committee were thoroughly evaluated by the apex committee before finalizing results. The Ministry’s initiative to print award-winning essays on contemporary issues, drawing guidance from the life of the Prophet Muhammad, and distributing them to educational institutions and prominent libraries has been praised as an effective and longstanding effort.
