UNODC Sports Manual Training Empowers Youth Leaders in Pakistan

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, in collaboration with the National Counter Terrorism Authority and supported by the Embassy of Denmark in Pakistan, recently conducted a three-day Training of Trainers workshop on the Sports Manual in Islamabad. The initiative aimed to prepare educators and community leaders with effective strategies to engage young people, foster social inclusion, and build resilience against violent extremism.

The training formed part of the Sports and Preventing Radicalization and Extremism project, which is funded by the Embassy of Denmark. By focusing on sports as a tool for positive engagement, the program seeks to offer constructive alternatives for youth and strengthen communities against the risks of radicalization.

Participants received hands-on training and practical resources designed to help them implement inclusive sports programs in their communities. These efforts are expected to create safe, supportive environments for young people while promoting peace and social cohesion.
