Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, visited the residence of Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, the leader of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, who is recovering after cardiac surgery. During the visit, Senator Dar conveyed best wishes for Dr. Rahman’s swift recovery on behalf of both the Prime Minister of Pakistan and himself.
Senator Dar also took the opportunity to commend Dr. Rahman for his lifelong contributions to politics, education, and social welfare. The visit underscores the warm relations and goodwill between the two nations, as well as the importance Pakistan places on its engagement with influential political and social figures in Bangladesh.
