44th Mid-Career Management Course Visits Parliament House

A delegation from the 44th Mid-Career Management Course visited Parliament House in Islamabad, where senior Senate officials welcomed them and guided the group through the Senate Museum, Gali-e-Dastoor and the Senate Hall, providing an orientation to the upper house’s history, procedures and legislative functions.
The group was received by senior officers of the upper house and began the visit with a walk through Gali-e-Dastoor and the Senate Museum. At the museum they were shown a documentary film detailing the history and development of the Senate.
Delegation members showed particular interest in the museum’s displays, including statues and historical photographs of the country’s prominent politicians, which illustrate key moments in the nation’s political history.
The visit concluded with a tour of the Senate Hall, where officials briefed the delegation on the chamber’s procedures, the legislative process and the importance of the Senate’s functions within the parliamentary system. The programme provided participants with a comprehensive overview of the institution’s role and heritage.
