Advancing Financial Management in District Courts

The Federal Judicial Academy concluded a three-day Financial Management course for nazirs and Budget & Accounts Examiners of district courts from 4–6 December 2025 in Islamabad. The programme focused on strengthening practical skills in financial oversight and public finance practices within the district judiciary.

Participants from district courts across Pakistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir attended expert-led modules that covered budgeting, expenditure management, financial planning and transparent reporting. Interactive discussions and real-case exercises were used to reinforce modern approaches to financial control and accountability, ensuring the Financial Management principles could be applied immediately in local court administrations.

Director General Federal Judicial Academy Hayat Ali Shah addressed the concluding ceremony, underlining the central role of sound financial practices in improving justice delivery at the district level. He distributed certificates to participants in recognition of their commitment to professional growth and to enhancing financial transparency in court institutions.

Attendees described how the course deepened their understanding of budgeting procedures, audit readiness and reporting standards, and provided practical tools to boost efficiency in their daily responsibilities. Improved Financial Management at the district level is expected to advance transparency, reduce procedural delays and strengthen public confidence in judicial administration.

The Academy reiterated its commitment to ongoing capacity building for judicial administrative staff, aiming to support a more transparent, efficient and service-oriented justice system across Pakistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir through continued training in public financial management.
