NSU Lights Up in Support of Takamol SVP

The buildings of National Skills University Islamabad were illuminated with the green flags of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan in a vivid display of solidarity following the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement signed in Riyadh. The night-time lighting served as a symbolic celebration of deepening ties between the two countries while drawing attention to parallel advances in workforce development.

Under the Federal Ministry for Education and Professional Training, led by Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, NSU highlighted its ongoing cooperation with the National Vocational & Technical Training Commission NAVTTC through the Takamol Skill Verification Program. The Takamol SVP partnership formalises certification and testing arrangements between NAVTTC and Saudi Arabia’s Takamol to ensure Pakistani skilled workers receive internationally recognised credentials.

The glowing flags represented more than ceremony; they signalled a strengthening of educational and vocational links that complement the defence agreement. By advancing the Takamol SVP framework, Pakistan aims to align its human capital development with new geopolitical opportunities, enabling technicians and tradespeople to access markets in Saudi Arabia and beyond with verified qualifications.

For Pakistani trainees and institutions, the collaboration underscores an increased focus on measurable skills and cross-border recognition. NSU’s participation with NAVTTC and Takamol SVP emphasises practical steps being taken to translate strategic ties into tangible benefits for the workforce, reinforcing Pakistan’s commitment to quality training and international certification.
