Pakistan Bahrain Ties Boosted by Parliamentary Visit
Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq led a parliamentary delegation to the Kingdom of Bahrain at the invitation of Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam. Upon arrival in Manama the two speakers exchanged cordial greetings and held an in-depth meeting addressing a broad range of bilateral, regional and international concerns.
The visit seeks to expand Pakistan Bahrain ties through enhanced parliamentary diplomacy and people-to-people connectivity, reflecting a shared commitment to stability and prosperity across the Muslim world.
During the discussions Sardar Ayaz Sadiq strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza as a blatant violation of international humanitarian norms. He highlighted the weaponization of humanitarian aid and the deliberate targeting of civilians, including children, women, the elderly and medical personnel, and urged immediate unhindered delivery of relief to the affected population.
Both sides issued a firm joint stance condemning illegal and unprovoked attacks on Qatar, Yemen and Iran, describing these actions as serious breaches of international law that risk escalating regional instability and undermining the rules-based order.
Sadiq also raised deep concern over human rights abuses in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, underscoring the illegality of the unilateral abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A and the resulting deprivation of constitutional protections for the Kashmiri people. The Bahraini Speaker reaffirmed support for the inalienable right to self-determination of Kashmir as enshrined in United Nations Security Council resolutions.
Speaker Al Musallam commended the Parliament of Pakistan for its unanimous resolutions in favour of Palestine and Kashmir and extended special congratulations to Pakistan’s civil and military leadership on the success of Marka-e-Haq, calling it a defining military and diplomatic achievement.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq thanked Bahrain for its consistent and principled support to oppressed Muslim communities and emphasised that Pakistan will continue to deepen Pakistan Bahrain ties through robust parliamentary collaboration and strengthened diplomatic engagement.
The parliamentary delegation accompanying the Speaker included MNAs Zulfiqar Behan, Mussarat Rafique Mahesar, Malik Shakir Bashir Awan, Sardar Shamsher Ali Khan Mazari, Abdul Aleem Khan, Muhammad Usman Badini, Hassan Sabir, Khursheed Ahmed Junejo and Pullain Baloch.
