Advocate Abdul Hayee, Member Balochistan of the National Commission on the Rights of Child (NCRC Pakistan), met with Director General Social Welfare Nasir Dotani and Deputy Director (Projection and Human Rights) Bashir Rind to discuss notification of the Balochistan Child Protection Policy.
The DG and the Deputy Director outlined plans to convene a stakeholders and civil society organizations meeting on the Balochistan Child Protection Policy and formally invited the NCRC representative to participate and provide support to the consultation process.
Both officials expressed appreciation for NCRC Pakistan’s work in Balochistan and reaffirmed their commitment to collaborate with the commission on child welfare and Child Protection initiatives across the province.
The planned stakeholder meeting is expected to bring together government, civil society and relevant local actors to refine the policy framework and ensure coordinated steps toward effective implementation and notification of the Balochistan Child Protection Policy.
