COMSATS Hosts Largest Inter University Tap Ball Cricket
The country’s biggest inter-university Tap Ball Cricket tournament will take place at COMSATS University from October 13 to 15, bringing 16 universities together to give young players greater exposure and competitive opportunity in Tap Ball Cricket.
Mohammad Rashid, Board Member of the International Tap Ball Cricket Council, will be the chief guest and has pledged full support for the tournament. “We will ensure this event is successful, and Inshallah, we will create international events for children in the future, with plans for tournaments involving Sri Lanka, India, and Bangladesh. These events will help showcase the talent of the children, making their skills visible worldwide,” he said.
The organization of the event has been entrusted to Mohammad Riyan, Director-General of COMSATS University. Muhammad Ishtiaq Kayani, Secretary-General of the Pakistan Tap Ball Cricket Council, said, “We have entrusted this responsibility to Director Mohammad Riyan after careful consideration. We are confident he will play an essential role in the success of this event.” Naqash Jatt, President of the Pakistan Tap Ball Cricket Council, also confirmed his team’s commitment to ensuring the tournament’s success.
Mohammad Riyan emphasized the university’s commitment to high standards, saying, “Inshallah, we will organize this Inter-University Tap Ball Cricket Council at a very high level, so that this first-ever event in Pakistan’s history becomes the largest event of its kind.” The tournament is expected to be a platform for young talent across Pakistan to gain recognition at national and international levels through Tap Ball Cricket.
