Pakistan Kazakhstan Deepen Cultural Collaboration

Mr. Usman Shah, Honorary Advisor to the Federal Minister for the National Heritage and Culture Division, met with H.E. Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, on Friday to strengthen cooperation in arts and culture with a particular emphasis on fashion and music. The two sides signalled a shared intent to expand people-to-people links and creative exchanges as part of broader cultural collaboration.

Ambassador Kistafin said Kazakhstan is preparing a comprehensive roadmap to widen cultural collaboration with Pakistan and promised to share the plan soon. He invited the Pakistani delegation to visit Kazakhstan to meet local fashion designers and to explore practical avenues for industry partnerships, an invitation Mr. Shah accepted while offering full cooperation to facilitate exchanges.

Officials from Pakistan have proposed a joint film project to highlight the shared cultural heritage of both countries, an idea welcomed by the ambassador. Mr. Shah briefed the envoy on the Department of Archaeology and Museums (DOAM) under the Ministry of National Heritage and Culture and highlighted Pakistan’s initiative to present its Buddhist heritage through 3D films as part of cultural promotion efforts.

Both officials underlined that cultural and educational cooperation is essential to strengthening mutual understanding. Mr. Shah reiterated Pakistan’s long-standing ties with Kazakhstan and committed to supporting events and artist participation that will promote Kazakh culture in Pakistan while deepening the cultural collaboration between the two nations.
